About Us
Downs First Aid Training Academy Ltd was established in 1997 and is Owned and Operated by a Paramedic with over 23 years practical Industry experience with the British Columbia Ambulance Service in conjunction with working as a OFA Attendant in the Construction Industry for many years.
First Aid Attendants are an essential part of the First Aid Services required for Workplaces under Part-3 of the Provincial "Occupational Health and Safety Regulation," Occupational First Aid Attendants perform a unique service in Industry. They alleviate suffering and on occasion save lives through their skills at an accident scene, furthermore, effective injury management can often shorten the healing time of the injury allowing the worker(s) to resume normal activities sooner.
